A little History

This union has been created in 1961. At that time, seven wine growers gathered their materials and their vines (8 hectares of vineyard at the beginning), and especially their work to form an agricultural cooperative society of common exploitation (SCAEC), an original structure which joins the dynamism of the group and the human dimension in the same venture.

Today, the Union des Jeunes Viticulteurs Récoltants is the third producer of Clairette de Die and height partners work together the greatest vineyard of the appellation.

An original organisation

The height wine growers of the union have put everything in common in order to constitute an unique and strong exploitation.

The individual competences of each partner complete the strength of the group and the experience acquired on two generation. They plant the vine, cultivate them, elaborate the wine and trade it. Each of the seven partners gets his own ability in one sector (vine, cellar, quality…).

Their implication in every stage of the vine growing and the wine making allows them to guarantee you a total control of the product and of its quality.

A strong exploitation

Vineyard:

Le vignoble de l'UJVR
UVJR works 60 hectares of vineyard situated on very steep hills in Vercheny, Aurel, Barsac and Saint Sauveur en Diois, that is to say on the better soil of the appellation.

Vines are emphasized by the utilisation of the reasoned struggle against diseases and parasites, only the organics fertilisers are used for the fertilisation.

Union des Jeunes Viticulteurs Récoltants gathered all its production equipments in a modern cellar of 3 000 m2 on the ground.

For the elaboration of its products, the company has acquired high performances machines and uses modern techniques for bottling guarantied the quality of wines.
